Osprey with Fish
OspreyPandion haliaetusI had always assumed that these birds carried their prey with both talons. In this case only one talon is used. I guess that it might be too awkward to land if both talons were carrying cargo.
The Osprey seems to stop and have its own feed before carrying the fish to the nest. This doesn't seem to upset the mate at all.
